The Malaysian Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) has announced a conference bid win to host the Asia Pacific Symposium on Cochlear Implants and Related Sciences in 2025. Dato’ Sri Abdul Khani Daud, MyCEB CEO said: “We are very honoured to work with the Malaysian Society of Otorhinolaryngologists Head and Neck Surgeons in putting forward our compelling proposal to host this prestigious conference. I am confident that the business events industry will be expecting many future conferences to be held in 2022 onwards.” Professor Dato’ Dr Prepageran Narayanan, incoming president of the Asia Pacific Symposium on Cochlear Implants and Related Sciences in 2025, said: “Malaysia being awarded to host the Asia Pacific Symposium on Cochlear Implants and Related Sciences in 2025 is an important global recognition of our work in this field. This is among one of the most prestigious and biggest cochlear implants conferences in the world, set to gather the prominent global experts for a dynamic forum, promoting productive clinical debates within various aspects of hearing, speech and related balance disorders. Setting the theme of Hearing for All, we aim to improve impaired people’s quality of everyday life on hearing, speech and balance disorders.” Around 800 delegates are expected and should contribute some RM15m (US$3.42m) in economic impact in Malaysia. The Malaysian Society of Otorhinolaryngologist Head and Neck Surgeons (MSO-HNS) consists of approximately 280 qualified practitioners around the region.
