EUROPE – Travel PR and marketing agency Hills Balfour has been appointed by Marketing Greece to implement a dedicated PR and social media as part of Marketing Greece’s overall launch to the UK market.
The strategy will be rolled out across an 18-month period and will promote Greece’s offerings to the UK trade and consumers, through traditional and new-age media forms.
Marketing Greece cooperates closely with the Ministry of Tourism and the Greek National Tourism Organisation to plan and implement targeted actions that appeal to international visitors. Key stakeholders include the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises, the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and the Association of Greek Advertising Companies.
“We are happy to be working with Hills Balfour and feel their experience and expertise in the destination PR and social media realm will help us take Greece to a new level,” says Marketing Greece’s General Manager, Lossif Parsalis. “Tourism is a hugely important industry for Greece and we want to ensure that we are 100 per cent committed to putting Greece back on the map and demonstrating that there is always more to discover, whether it be on one if the Greek islands or the on the mainland.”
Senior Account Manager Natalie Schofield will head up the account at Hills Balfour working alongside Social Media Director Lucy Campbell, Greek media Consultant Tom Panagos and Senior Account Executive Jessica Flood.
