WORLD – As part of a ‘One big thank you’ campaign, Marriott Europe, a division of hotel group Marriott International, is set to host five parties in five European cities for its “most valued customers”.

A first for Marriott, ‘One big thank you’ is a spin on its annual Global Customer Appreciation Week, held in October, to allow Marriott sales associates to say thank you through bespoke customer activities, appointments, lunches, office visits and events.

“This year is the 18th Marriott Global Customer Appreciation Week and the European Division wanted to do things a little differently,” said Marriott VP of Sales for Europe, Paul Malcom. “What better way to thank our most valued customers than with a memorable party across five cities? The cities selected are London, Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Munich and Budapest.”

Malcom said an European Task Force was developed for the project and following a number of brainstorms, the number ‘one’ was identified as a common thread and will feed through all five parties in some way.

Marriott’s most senior figures, including the European area vice presidents for each region, will attend the events across Europe, which will be held over three days in October: 24, 25 and 26.

Details of each event:

London, Host City for UK South –25 October

The Gherkin will host a reception for guests. The iconic building will be lit ‘Marriott Red’ in colour and Singer Gabrielle Aplin will entertain guests as they indulge in champagne and canapés.

Edinburgh, Host City for UK North –26 October

Edinburgh will give UK North customers an exclusive first with a private screening of the James Bond movie, Skyfall at the Dominion Theatre in Morningside.

Amsterdam, Host City for Western Europe, 25 October
Koepelkerk (Koepel church) at the Renaissance Amsterdam is a historic venue in the heart of the UNESCO world heritage canals and sets the scene for a party for Western European customers. Up-and-coming indie rockers, Valerius, will provide the entertainment.

Munich, Host City for Central Europe, 24 October
Filmcasino München on Odeonsplatz in the heart of Munich will host a ‘one’ party reflected through art, movie and music. An acrobat duo will perform for guests, as well as a live act, the playlist of which will be controlled by guests who will interactively vote for their favourite songs on the night.

Budapest, Host City for Eastern Europe, 25 October
In Budapest, guests will be entertained at Vaci 1, a shopping mall opening in spring 2013. Guests will be treated to drinks, culinary specialities and a dance show combining audio-visual effects.
