The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA) has hired Yuisa Pérez (pictured) as chief people officer, effective 22 May, 2024. With 20 years’ experience as a human resources leader, Perez will lead the MCCA in fostering a welcoming and inclusive culture for MCCA employees, its contract partners, and guests that visit its facilities annually. Gloria Larson, interim executive director of the MCCA said: “I am confident that Yuisa will have a positive and lasting impact on the MCCA’s culture and workplace.” Yuisa most recently served as the chief people officer at the Museum of Science, Boston. She said: “I am excited for this opportunity to join the MCCA and I look forward to engaging with employees and stakeholders in the coming months and finding ways we can strengthen workplace culture and participation, while providing a memorable experience for our clients.” The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority owns and oversees the operations of the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center, the MassMutual Center in Springfield, MA, the Boston Common Parking Garage, The Lawn On D, and The Lot On D.
