MCEC launches new virtual and hybrid platform

The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) has launched a new end-to-end virtual and hybrid event platform. The MCEC showcased this platform at ‘Defy All Conventions’, 11 November, an online and in-person event attended by 300 people.

Peter Haycroft, executive chef of the MCEC, demonstrated the video capabilities of the new platform, as well as a more technical walk through with MCEC technology experts, at the showcase event.

The platform has a suite of virtual and hybrid event planning and delivery services. These include digital event managers, inhouse tech support, and access to the events team, facilities, and food and beverage services for guests attending in person.

Peter King, CEO of the MCEC, said: “With developments in digital event technology, it is now possible to create authentic, high-impact connection and engagement for virtual and hybrid events.

“MCEC is a leader in the connected events space and the home of the unconventional and it’s so exciting to launch our new platform to ensure we move with the times and keep our customers and their audiences as engaged as possible.”
