#MEET4IMPACT and Gevme have launched ImpactAIQ, an AI platform for measuring the wider value of events. It’s built to show impact beyond ticket sales and immediate spend, pulling survey data, interviews, documents and video into one system that tracks social, cultural, economic and environmental outcomes.

Business Events Montréal is the first destination organisation to sign on, after already piloting similar impact work on its own events. At the Canadian Circular Economy Summit in April 2025, which drew 970 delegates, the approach tracked impact across five dimensions and nine stakeholder groups, and Business Events Montréal says the findings fed into an update of Canada’s Circular Economy Action Plan. At the CAEH National Conference on Ending Homelessness that October, federal interviews linked a housing-investment announcement made at the event to follow-up government action. The city plans to apply the same method to the UCI Road World Championships when they arrive in Montréal next September.

IMEX Group is the platform’s other launch partner, testing ImpactAIQ internally across its own shows. Gevme, the event technology company behind the platform’s data and AI infrastructure, is headquartered in Singapore with offices in the US, Philippines, China and India, and says its event management software is used by tens of thousands of event teams worldwide.

Andréanne Paquet, director of development and sports at Business Events Montréal, said: “Evaluating the impact of a business event means going beyond its immediate economic benefits to understand the value it creates for Montréal, its communities and the industry as a whole. ImpactAIQ allows us to simplify and structure this process.”

Natasha Richards, director of impact and industry relations at IMEX, said: “This platform allows us to build the evidence of positive impacts we know our IMEX shows create, while helping to shape a solution that could benefit the wider events industry.”
