A second 2024 opportunity for one-on-one professional coaching in Australia is now open for enrolment. The programme is for Meetings & Events Australia (MEA) members via their mentor programme. Mentees are matched with an industry expert whose skillset aligns with their career goals. The programme is open to all MEA members. A recent participant offered their advice for future mentees: “Identify your goals, clearly understand what you want to achieve through mentorship… Take the initiative to reach out and connect with potential mentors… Be willing to listen, learn, and accept constructive feedback.” Peter McDonald, CEO of MEA, said: “Heartened by the high rate of attainment of participation objectives by both mentees and mentors in the programme rollout earlier in the year, we are excited to launch a second round… [This programme] strengthens the industry by building a more skilled and resilient workforce.” Lateral Event Management is sponsoring the event. CEO and director, Megan Peters, said: “We are thrilled to remain on board as the sponsor of the MEA Mentor Programme. It was wonderful to see the connections made through the first roll out and we look forward to providing the platform to nurture further opportunities.” Places are limited, so those that are interested should contact the MEA directly via gboshier@mea.org.au.
