MIDDLE EAST – The winners of the 2012 Middle East Event Awards were announced this week, 2 May.
The Middle East event industry gathered last night to network, meet potential clients, catch up with colleagues and wait in anticipation for the announcements of the winners.
In association with Entourage Marketing and Events, the awards consisted of 20 categories which were won by the likes of Al Laith Event Services and Mamemo productions for Supplier of the Year (Excellence in Technical Delivery) and Innovative Supplier of the Year, and Best Exhibition Stand Design and Best Contribution to Sustainability, respectively.
Best Music Event was won by Chillout Productions for its Skywards Dubai International Jazz Festival at the new venue in Festival City. Blink Events were awarded Best Event using a Temporary Structure for Red Bull X Fighters and David Atkins Enterprises won Best Arts and Culture Event for its 12th Arab Games Opening Ceremony. Abu Dhabi Sports Council were awarded Best Sporting Event for the ADSC Calendar of Sports Events for the 40th UAE National Day.
Fairs and Exhibitions Aerospace were one of the big winners of the evening with Best Exhibition for the Dubai Airshow.
New categories this year included Employer of the Year, awarded to DMG Events.
The Middle East Event Awards are part of the Middle East Event Show taking place 1 – 3 May 2012 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
