Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Limited (HML) has announced the appointment of Diane Chen as the second deputy managing director, effective 2 July 2024. HML is a professional private management company responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). Ms Chen will lead three divisions – Marketing & Sales, Communications, Human Resources & Administration – and will be responsible for developing and implementing business strategies to maximise venue utilisation and revenue, enhance corporate branding, and develop HML’s human resources. Ms Chen is also appointed to the company’s Executive Leadership Committee. Monica Lee-Müller, HML’s managing director, said “With the different global economic momentum and the continuous development of the event industry in Asia after the pandemic, I’m delighted to have someone of Diane’s calibre on board. With her professional qualifications, diverse experience, leadership skills, and enthusiasm, I am confident she will contribute greatly to HML in meeting ever-increasing demands from customers and stakeholders while upholding the highest integrity in leading HKCEC’s business and people developments. The new appointment of a second deputy managing director will enable HML to continuously evolve and develop our proposition to ensure that the HKCEC remains competitive and a venue of choice for world-class events.”
