ASIA – The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) and the Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (MACEOS) have agreed a partnership to extend reciprocal membership privileges to members of both organisations.
Benefits will include member pricing for both organisations’ products and services, sharing of research data, the creation of jointly sponsored activities and events, and invitations for association leaders to participate in major events.
“We are honoured to be a part of this burgeoning segment of the global exhibitions and events industry,” said IAEE president David DuBois.
He added that MACEOS’s collaboration with the Malaysian Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MCEB) showed a strong commitment to the development of events in south east Asia.
MACEOS chief executive Amos Wong welcomed the reciprocity agreement with IAEE, “an association known for its quality training and educational practices, and where MACEOS members can benefit in their upskilling process for the coming years”.
Established in 1990, MACEOS comprises 84 member companies representing event organisers and suppliers. The association’s goals are supported by the MCEB, which was founded by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture in 2009.
Founded in 1928, IAEE is the world’s largest association for the exhibitions and events industry.
