The Vienna Tourist Board has launched its first international marketing campaign for Meeting Destination Vienna, under the concept ‘Vienna: A pleasure doing business’. The new Meeting Destination Vienna campaign highlights Vienna’s infrastructure for both in person and hybrid congresses, and promotes the leisure facilities on offer, too. Christian Woronka, director of the Vienna Convention Bureau, commented: “Our campaign focuses on all of the components that Vienna offers to make a meeting a professional success, but also a pleasant experience. We have created nine different visuals for this purpose that combine classic business sayings against relaxed moments of enjoyment that event participants can experience before, during or after a meeting in Vienna”. The image-led campaign showcases traditional business phrases in a new context, juxtaposed against images of Vienna. The campaign will run online via social media in the UK, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland, with a focus on cities where many international trade associations and companies have their headquarters. The campaign also targets decision-makers and the general public in Frankfurt with over 250 in-person advertisements in the city centre.
