Hotel occupancy rates are up across all départements of the inner suburbs.

  • + 13.3%% in Hauts-de-Seine

In inner Paris, hotel occupancy is up 10.1% on 2023, with a particularly sharp rise in the top end of the market (16.5%). The arrondissements of Paris most visited by foreign tourists between 23 July and 6 August are:

  • 15th arrondissement (up 5.9%)

Of total visitors, 44.6% were Île-de-France residents, 27.7% were day-trippers and another 27.7% were tourists. The top three foreign markets for international tourists were the United States (230,000), Germany (130,000) and the UK (115,000). Three international long-haul markets that saw significant growth were Brazil (107,000), China (82,000) and Japan (47,000). French visitors stayed longer, with an average of 3.1 nights compared to foreigners’ 2.9. Both figures represent increases in stay length compared to 2023. The Paris Olympics wrapped up on 11 August. The torch has already been passed on to LA for the 2028 Games.
