Luxury superyacht marina and waterfront residential village, Porto Montenegro, and the Sarajevo Film Festival have announced a three-year partnership that will see Porto Montenegro continue to host the Adriatic Film Awards. The announcement was made during a reception at the Cannes Film Festival.

Representing Porto Montenegro, Alexandru Avram, senior head of destination and events, highlighted the significance of the partnership and the role of culture in shaping the destination’s international profile.

“Cannes Film Festival is the perfect place to celebrate and discuss initiatives that connect cultures through storytelling and creativity,” said Avram. “The Adriatic Film Awards represent much more than a single event. Together with our partners, we are supporting a meaningful regional cultural platform that brings together talent, creativity, and collaboration from across the Adriatic.”

“Cinema has the unique ability to inspire audiences, connect communities, and create lasting international relationships,” Avram added. “We are proud to support a project that not only celebrates artistic excellence but also helps position Montenegro and the wider Adriatic region more prominently on the global cultural map.”

Porto Montenegro, Sarajevo Film Festival, and The Strategist said they looked forward to continuing their collaboration and welcoming the international film community to Montenegro as the Adriatic Film Awards enter their next chapter.
