Warsaw venue Bracka25 welcomed 350 visitors to the first edition of PrestaShop Day in Poland, 11 October.
PrestaShop Day is a dedicated event for e-commerce, with existing editions in Madrid, Paris and Milan.
This event has become one of the major meeting points for industry experts and online merchants.
Organisers say their goal is for the event to take a snapshot of the market, identify the major trends and develop e-commerce for merchants all over Europe in a sector that continues to demonstrate strong growth.
Organisers also claim that 270,000 e-commerce sites are using PrestaShop’s open source eCommerce software in around 195 countries.
PrestaShop tells EW that, for 2019, it plans to organise more PrestaShop Days and is working on an event calendar to develop the business in Latin America as well as Europe.
A spokesperson tells EW: “The main challenges were to gather all our ecosystem in Poland and to be able to offer them a full and rich programme. The main benefits were really to meet as many members of the ecosystem, to understand them, give them answers to their questions and to talk PrestaShop with them.”
