The Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA) CEO John Hoffmann and the state of Qatar have signed a deal to host an edition of MWC in Doha in November 2025. His Excellency Mohammed bin Ali bin Mohammad Al Mannai, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Qatar, signed the deal with the GSMA at MWC in Barcelona.
The inaugural event will take place 25–26 November 2025 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center in Qatar and will be the first edition of a five-year agreement between the GSMA and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Qatar.

Mr. Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, said: “The State of Qatar has established itself as a premier destination for global summits and conferences in the ICT sector, and hosting MWC25 further reinforces this position. This event aligns with our commitment to realising Qatar’s National Vision 2030, as we continue to foster a thriving digital economy and a sustainable digital society. We look forward to welcoming technology leaders and decision-makers from around the world to contribute to shaping the future of digital transformation in our region and beyond.”
The Qatar Minister of Communications & Information Technology, said: “Hosting this event represents a strategic opportunity to attract investments and support the implementation of the Digital Agenda 2030.
