Quebec City Convention Centre to welcome 8,000 guests this summer

The Quebec City Convention Centre in Canada is expected to host 8,000 delegates to the city during a busy summer period for conventions. There are nine national and international conferences scheduled throughout July and August, which are expected to bring in CAD$12m (US$9.13m) to the city’s economy. Upcoming events include: the 2018 Canadian Number Theory Association Conference, the International Symposium on Macrocyclic and Supramolecular Chemistry, and the 10th annual Meeting of the Society for the Neurobiology of Language. The Quebec City Convention Centre was named World’s Best Convention Centre by AIPC in 2006 and was a finalist for the same award in 2014. Pierre-Michel Bouchard, CEO of Quebec City Convention Centre, said: “The Quebec City Convention Centre’s activities this summer will have a major impact on the city’s economy, hotels, restaurants and businesses. “Visitors will certainly take advantage of the conference to enjoy our city’s many attractions – the best way to combine business and pleasure.”
