Radisson Hotel Group unveiled, at the International Hospitality Investment Forum in Berlin significant growth In the first quarter of 2024. With a portfolio of 1,340 properties in 95 countries, the group is renowned for brands like Radisson Blu, the upscale brand in Europe, and Radisson, one of the fastest-growing brands in EMEA and Southeast Asia. Building on a record-breaking 2023, Radisson reports expanding in EMEA and APAC where more than 50 properties were opened or signed. Elie Younes, executive vice-president and global chief development officer, said: “Over the last five years, we have grown the business by nearly 50%… We find solutions in the current difficult lending climate and look forward to adding more hotels and resorts as we look ahead to the rest of this year.” In EMEA, Radisson Blu was a growth driver with new signings making up over 30% of the quarter’s expansion. Notable signings under Radisson Individuals in the UK and France included The View Hotel Folkstone and La Villa d’Italie Menton. Noteworthy openings included Radisson Safari Hotel Hoedspruit in South Africa and the Radisson RED Belgrade in Southeast Europe. Radisson’s partnership with PPHE has continued to yield fruitful outcomes, notably with the integration of the art’otel brand, and upcoming openings in Rome and London slated for the first half of 2024. In APAC, significant growth was observed, particularly in India, China, and Cambodia, led by the Radisson RED and Radisson Blu brands. Important new markets were entered with properties like Radisson RED Auckland.
