The Recognition Professionals International RPI has joined the Incentive Marketing Association (IMA) as a Strategic Industry Group (SIG). the move builds on the organisations’ close collaboration following the signing of an affiliation agreement in March 2021.
“This is an exciting time for both RPI and IMA. Since our missions, goals, and focus are well aligned, we felt both organisations would be strengthened by working together,” said RPI president, David Klein, Spirit Airlines.
“Recognition is such a large piece of the incentive market; it makes savvy business sense to be aligned with this group of professionals who are involved daily in the practice and measurement of the programmes so many of us work on,” said IMA president, Bill Martocci (pictured), Carlisle Sales & Marketing.
“The IMA’s mission to advocate and promote the use of incentives and recognition to improve business performance is bolstered by the people and efforts RPI provides. With the addition of RPI, our members, all of the SIGs, and the incentive channel as a whole are strengthened under the umbrella that is the IMA,” Martocci added.
Klein noted the added benefit of greater stability for RPI. “With a more sustainable cost structure, RPI can invest more in enhancing and upgrading our offerings to ensure we deliver best-in-class content and value to our business partners and members. RPI will also benefit from IMA corporate outreach and draw in additional membership which will increase networks and exposure for our members.”
IMA is the umbrella organisation for the Incentive & Engagement Solution Providers (IESP), Incentive Gift Card Council (IGCC), Incentive Merchandise To Reward & Appreciate (IMRA), Incentive Travel Council (ITC), Recognition Professionals International (RPI) and IMA Europe, IMA Brasil and IMA Middle East & Africa.
