AMERICAS – As Orlando gets ready to welcome the Americas Incentive, Business Travel & Meetings exhibition (AIBTM) for the first time this year, organisers Reed Travel Exhibitions are expecting to see 18,000 pre-scheduled appointments take place between buyers and exhibitors. If achieved, the figure would represent a 20 per cent increase on the Chicago edition of the show in 2013.
“Orlando is one of the top meetings and convention destinations in the world,” said George Aguel, President & CEO at Visit Orlando. “We have an incredible diversity of hotel and resort properties, a world-class convention center and hospitality that is second to none. Our team at Visit Orlando is working with Reed Travel Exhibitions to ensure a successful meeting for attendees this year.”
“AIBTM is delighted to bring our show to Orlando this June where we expect record attendance from both buyers and exhibitors,” said Michael Lyons, Exhibition Director for AIBTM. “Working closely with the team at Visit Orlando, we are introducing a number of exciting new features and networking events. Coupled with show floor enhancements and CEU-accredited education sessions, we believe the AIBTM experience in Orlando will be a can’t-miss experience for those who attend.”
Beginning next year, AIBTM will rotate between McCormick Place in Chicago and the Orange County Convention Center. Orlando will host again in 2016.
AIBTM 2014 takes place 10-12 June at the Orange County Convention Center.
