Refurbished Disney Events Arena reopens

Disneyland Paris, France has refurbished its 7,200sqm Disney Events Arena, its largest event space, with new thermal insulation, sound, lighting, video equipment, LED wall, and colour scheme. The refurbishment provides thermal insulation to the structure through the canvas being replaced by metal cladding and a double layered insulated canvas roof. The heating system was replaced by reversible heat pumps for heating and cooling and the interior was repainted in black to complete the immersive effect. The electrical network was refurbished, and the floor was renovated and stained. Disney Events Arena has also been pre-equipped with a new lighting and audio-visual package and the venue now boasts over 230 light points to illuminate the aisles of a trade show, the field of a sporting event or the conference stage. Manuel Bacquart, operations and production support manager, said: “The refurbishment of Disney Events Arena took almost a year and it allows us to offer our users, clients, service providers and guests a real ‘black box’, entirely modular and pre-equipped to bring all types of events to life, here at Disneyland Paris.” The Arena has capacity to accommodate from 3,500 (table service) to 6,000 people (cocktail party).
