RendezVerse, a MICE-focused Metaverse platform, has appointed Michael Cohen as its new strategic advisor. The platform has announced that, by hiring a new strategic advisor, it hopes to further its development of metaverse hotels and hospitality. As a metaverse advisor, RendezVerse has stated that Cohen’s role will include the business’ expansion into the Americas and regional and global brands. Prior to his new role, Cohen had 20 years of innovative tech-focused strategic business development experience across the hospitality, travel, and retail sectors. Specialising in global metaverse, VR, AR, and XR solutions and commercialisation, Cohen is also a metaverse mentor and advisor at the New York University’s Hospitality Hub Innovation Incubator. On his new role, Cohen said: “Over my career, I have always focused on truly defining a product, service or technology. RendezVerse has an immersive metaverse platform for the hotel and MICE industries.” The platform has additionally announced that it will launch globally in Autumn 2022, aimed at M&I buyers, hotels, and events industries. By the end of 2023, it plans to host hotels and buyers across the leisure and MICE industries, with a view to continue expansion into Web3.
