Space sold out at Swedish International Travel and Tourism Trade Fair

News

EUROPE – The venue and organiser of the Swedish International Travel and Tourism Trade Fair (TUR), the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre, says it has sold out of exhibitor space at the 2013 edition of the show.

The show, to be held 21 to 24 March in Gothenburg, claims to be the leading Scandinavian meeting place for the travel, tourism and meetings industry since 1984.

“Ninety-one countries and regions will be represented at this year’s fair,” says the show’s Exhibition Manager, Lisa Callert. “After a decline in the number of exhibitors from abroad in 2011 and 2012 (each featuring 79 exhibiting countries and regions), this year’s TUR has bounced back.

“We are right back where we belong. TUR is very much an international fair, and a visit here should feel like a round-the-world trip.”

The exhibitor with the biggest presence in the Foreign Section will be Turkey with 374sqm, divided into three stands. Next is Spain, with 16sqm with other large stands to be occupied by Greece, Italy, Morocco, Poland, South Africa, Germany and the USA.

Other countries taking part include Burma, Mongolia, Jamaica, and Switzerland.

This year will also see the premiere of a business-to-business section open only on trade days, all Thursday and half Friday.
