Speakers Corner reports demand for wellbeing speakers  

According to UK-based speaker bureau Speakers Corner, one in four people experience mental health issues at some point in their lives – therefore the need for discussion is more important than ever. Its research also highlights a 195% increase in searches for health and wellness speakers since 2017, with a 48% increase since the same period last year. It has observed an increase in clients booking speakers who not only convey the importance of talking about mental health, but highlight the issues that employers need to be aware of and the steps they need to take to help any employees who may be struggling in an often stressful corporate environment. With important individuals talking candidly on the subject, including the likes of Alistair Campbell who recently used his Confex keynote speech to highlight the stress and pressure those in this industry face, Speakers Corner has curated a roster of speakers talking on everything from mental health to mindfulness. Nick Gold, managing director of Speakers Corner and incoming president of the International Association of Speaker Bureaux, said: “The time for conversation around wellbeing is now, and clients increasingly want to draw on insights from speakers who have experience of mental health issues and are championing wellbeing.
