Spring Hotels has strengthened its MICE presence in Tenerife following its acquision of three Mare Nostrum Resort properties in July 2025, adding more than 1,000 guest rooms and a dedicated MICE centre at the Pirámide de Arona with capacity for up to 1,600 delegates. The group, already known for hosting congresses, conferences, and cultural events in Tenerife, has reaffirmed its status as the island’s leading MICE destination.
Its portfolio now includes more than 2,300 rooms, 22 event halls, and over 1,200m² of exhibition space. The expansion also brought iconic venues like the Congress Hall Piramide de Arona, Hard Rock Cafe, and Palapa Beach Club into the Spring Hotels collection, opening up a unique mix of indoor and outdoor spaces for events, exhibitions, and entertainment.
“This acquisition has given us the scale, setting, and flexibility to compete at the highest level in MICE,” says Elisabetta Zarini, contract & events manager.
The offering builds on previous investments in the sector, including the recently refurbished Fasnia Room at Arona Gran Hotel, a 94m2, tech-enabled space ideal for creative workshops and mid-size events. “Clients want more than a functional venue,” adds Zarini. “They want places that lift the mood, support fresh thinking, and help people connect. That’s exactly what we offer.”
The Congress Hall has already hosted major industry gatherings such as the TURESPAÑA Convention, and is home to the weekly HISTORY The Show alongside a wider programme of live performances and venue rentals for cultural events, comedy nights, and concerts, giving delegates the opportunity to combine business with memorable entertainment.
