Sustainable Travel Finland label for Messukeskus centre

Messukeskus Helsinki, Expo and Convention Centre has signed up to Visit Finland’s Sustainable Travel Finland programme.

“It is great to join forces with Visit Finland and other companies in the programme to tell our international audience about responsible tourism and events,” says Messukeskus’s marketing and communications director, Maria Mroue.

Responsibility is a megatrend and a decisive selection criterion for an increasing number of purchasing decision-makers. Messukeskus’ stated goal is to develop its services to become even more responsible and also to encourage its customers to make environmentally friendly choices.

Messukeskus’ Sustainability Report lists, item by item, all the work done so far within the UN Sustainable Development Goals (Agenda 2030).

During the past year, Messukeskus has done a lot of work to promote Corona safety and was the first tradefair organiser in Finland to publish comprehensive safety guidelines for event participation.

The Matka Travel Fair organised annually by Messukeskus, recognises products and services in which responsibility is taken into account particularly well and which serve as trendsetters for the travel industry.
