Hosted buyers came together with Taiwan’s MICE industry leaders, 30 October, at Taipei International Convention Center for the Taiwan MICE Talk event. It was an opportunity to promote Taiwan as a global hub for world-class events and provide an introduction to local industry innovations and strategies.
The event gathered more than 30 of Taiwan’s top MICE suppliers – from convention venues to destination management companies (DMCs), professional conference organisers (PCOs), and congress hotels. International buyers came from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, South Korea, and Australia.
Taiwan MICE Talk blended an interactive talk show and a 3D virtual experience, highlighting Taiwan’s MICE expertise. Seven world-class venues were showcasing, including the Taipei World Trade Center, International Convention Center Tainan, and the state-of-the-art Messe Taoyuan Sustainability, with Taiwan highlighting its leadership in green building initiatives.
Certified green venues, namely Nangang Exhibition Hall and Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, were also prominently on display. Meet Taiwan also outlined its ambitious MICE growth strategy, which is supported by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA).
The strategy focuses on innovation and designed to integrate world-class venues with city development and global business trends. As many speakers highlighted: Taiwan’s Business Events Corridor is now connecting key cities, providing world-class venues and unforgettable experiences, making it an ideal destination for global events.
