Analytics company SAS has chosen the ICC Birmingham as host of its 2020 SAS Forum UK conference. From 22-23 June 2020, more than 1,000 delegates will gather for the event, which will share examples and best practice for how to transform data into intelligence using analytics and artificial intelligence. In previous years the event was hosted at sister venue the Vox. In 2019 the SAS conference expanded into the larger venue, the ICC. Donna Cunningham, Sales Director for the ICC and Vox said: “This is a great example of the strength of our partnership with SAS and between the teams across our venues. The Vox team did a superb job in taking the event to the next level for us.
“Now at the ICC, we can harness the strengths of it being a bigger venue and utilise our tiered seating facilities and extensive break out areas. SAS is a great client to work with, always pushing the boundaries of what can be done with a conference space, and we look forward to their return.” This is the latest technology client to have chosen the ICC based on a combination of facilities, flexibility and customer service. Mui Luc, Head of Go To Market, SAS UK & Ireland said: “We enjoyed our most successful ever SAS Forum UK earlier this year, with a record number of customers, partners, academics and students attending. With three plenary sessions, six breakout streams and 36 breakout sessions we needed a large, flexible venue like the ICC to accommodate all our needs. We recognise we’ll need this level of functionality again for next year’s event.”
