UK’s biggest agency announces change in leadership

BCD Meetings & Events, the UK’s biggest booking agency in the sector, has appointed Geert Jan Jongeneel (pictured) as its new Managing Director, EMEA.

He replaces Nigel Cooper, who takes the newly created role of SVP, Global Strategic Development.

Jongeneel will continue to serve as BCD M&E’s global Chief Financial Officer in addition to his new role and responsibilities.

Bruce Morgan now leads the company’s Meetings Management business in the US and globally.

In two years, he has led development in LATAM and is charged with implementing next steps of focusing on driving new sales and expanding Meetings Management business customers.

“We’ve enjoyed significant success over the last three years through well-planned acquisitions and organic growth,” says Scott Graf, Global President of BCD Meetings & Events.

“As we continue to plan for the future — creating more opportunities for our customers — we continue to leverage the innovative, entrepreneurial skill-set of our current leaders.”

The leadership shake up comes two years after BCD M&E bought Zibrant and then Grass Roots Meetings & Events from Blackhawk.
