Varna to host inaugural Black Sea & Balkans Conference World Summit

Bulgaria’s resort city of Varna is to host the inaugural edition of the Black Sea & Balkans (BSB) Conference World Summit, 20-21 February 2020.

The Summit will be focused on the countries of the Black Sea and Balkans region and will aim to share knowledge, experience, good practices and, mostly, to be a platform to discover the region and connect international players with it.

Joint organisers Consulting Cluster Veritas tell CMW: “By organising the BS&B Conference World Summit, we would like to emphasise the importance of the MICE industry and the preconditions it creates for directly establishing valuable contacts with local and foreign partners, expanding the markets of local companies and increasing their efficiency.”

The main venue for the event will be Varna’s International Hotel Casino & Tower Suites, Golden Sands, which has a capacity for up to 1,200 delegates for events and 11 meeting rooms.

It has the biggest hotel-based conference centre in Eastern Bulgaria.

The geographical scope of the event embraces the following countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, Moldova, Macedonia, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine.

Organisers say they are targeting both the private and public sector, as well as interested ministries and associations and corporates.

The conference programme will examine significant issues across the entire life cycle of an event – from selecting its format and identifying the target audience, through creating world-class content, by bringing important topics and speakers, to marketing tools and audience engagement strategies.

Day 1 conference sessions will all be about education and learning via interactive breakout sessions, while Day 2 will have as its main themes, Evaluate and Exchange. This will include a look at industrial policies, collaboration models and share the voice of some key regional industries, such as ICT, automotive, medicine, creative and telecoms.

Organisers say they expect to run two info tours and visits to at least five major venues and sites.

Veritas is organising the event in partnership with the Bulgarian Small and Medium Size Enterprises Promotional Agency (BSMEPA).
