Over 100,000sq.ft of additional meeting and event space has taken shape and remains on schedule to open in Florida late summer 2026 at Walt Disney Swan and Dolphin. The destination has reached a major milestone in its event space expansion, completing the structural frame of the new facility.
The expansion will bring the triplex’s total meeting and event space to 449,000sq.ft across the Swan, Dolphin and Swan Reserve, alongside 2,619 guest rooms – making it one of the largest convention hotels on the East Coast of the United States. To help planners envision how this state-of-the-art facility will host future events, the property has released a new fly-through video showcasing the entirety of the space, its connection to the existing Dolphin function space via an exhibition hall and its flexible layout options designed to accommodate a variety of configurations.
The project, which broke ground in November 2024, represents a key component of the largest renovation and expansion in the property’s history, a total of a $300m investment. It also encompasses extensive upgrades to existing meeting spaces, the recently completed Swan guest room enhancements and the upcoming renovation of the Dolphin guest rooms.
