ICCA looks ahead to its October 63rd Congress in Abu Dhabi: ICCA is very excited at the prospect of bringing our global community to Abu Dhabi, UAE for the 63rd ICCA Congress, 20-23 October 2024. From the spectacular launch on the final day of last year’s ICCA Congress in Bangkok, until the moment Congress begins at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), everything we do in the coming months is geared towards delivering a world-class event for our members, one that will resonate throughout our industry, and beyond. Working closely with our wonderful hosts – Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau (ADCEB) and the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi – we will deliver a Congress full of vibrancy, state-of-the-art spectacle, hugely enjoyable social events, and thought-provoking content with the scope to shape, inspire, and influence the way we think, plan, and do international events. The 63rd ICCA Congress theme is Tomorrow Starts Today which aptly reflects the untameable can-do spirit of our industry, an industry that makes change happen through global collaboration, fresh ideas, new relationships, and generating opportunities for all. Our four Congress pillars allow us to create a distinctive content programme covering relevant industry-focused topics:

  1. Technology and Innovation (including AI and Blockchain)
  2. Sustainability and Environmental Impact
  3. Cultural Awareness & Social Impacts (including Legacy and DEI)
  4. Business Trends & Growth (including Sales & Marketing)

ICCA CEO Senthil Gopinath says: “The 63rd ICCA Congress will be a Congress for ages. A Congress designed to matter. Last year the introduction of Sharing Hubs allowed us to put member needs at the forefront of our programme, and this is something we can now expand upon, bringing content that creates tangible results. I am excited at what our team and partners are promising to deliver. And what a place to do this! Abu Dhabi is a hub of possibility, an example of what is achievable when ideas and energy and passion become intrinsically linked.” The spirit of Abu Dhabi and its affiliation with staging events is renowned. Participants can also enjoy the culture, the hospitality, the stunning sun-kissed backdrop, the amazing venues, the luxury hotels, the dramatic excursions promising adventure in the dunes or by the glistening sea, the ease of getting from A to B and back again, the latest technology always at your fingertips, the spirit of internationalism in a gleaming metropolis where the world comes to work and play, the dramatic blend of stunning contemporary architecture and ancient precious tradition. The food… the people… the possibilities. The chance to come as a wide-eyed member of ICCA and be celebrated, feted, welcomed for a few incredible, unforgettable days in October. Abu Dhabi will leverage the Congress as a significant contributor to Abu Dhabi’s Vision 2030, which sets out a clear strategy around sustainability, education, and career growth. The 63rd ICCA Congress will do everything it can to upstage every other ICCA event. And that is quite a claim. The ambition is matched only by the confidence. We urge you all to come and be part of something that will go way beyond all our expectations.
