AIPC takes Annual Congress to Paris

Global association of event venues, AIPC is to take its Annual Congress to Paris, 24-25 September. The original end of June date in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, was cancelled back in March. The new two-day programme will aim to bring the global community of event centres together to discuss common challenges and future plans, with a focus on how to adapt to a new business reality. The Congress will now be hybrid. “Bringing the event centres community together is important to demonstrate our agility and our ambition to come out of this crisis stronger together,” said AIPC President Aloysius Arlando. “Let’s make this event a real tribute to the kind of ingenuity AIPC members have demonstrated over many years – and a solid step down the path to a new future for all of us!” The Congress will be hosted at the Palais de Congrès in Paris and members still facing travel restrictions will be offered the possibility to join virtually. “Paris is proud to welcome the first event of the international meetings industry post Covid-19. If there is one thing we have learned from this crisis, it is that nothing can replace the personal encounter.
