Antwerp Convention Bureau is gearing up for a landmark year on the back of some big medical and healthcare congresses, as well as good meetings business from the tech sector. With an exceptional healthcare ecosystem and a thriving innovation landscape, the Belgian city continues to attract high-calibre international conferences in 2025, building further on its reputation as a centre of excellence for medical and technological advancement.
The EMCA (International Institute for Tropical Medicine conference was hosted in the city at the end of March, 2025 and other major conferences lined up in the city this year include: International Sleep and Breathing ESRS Conference (10-12 April, 2025) European Conference on Healthcare Engineering (21-23 May, 2025) European Society for Dermatological Research Annual Meeting (10-13 September, 2025) European Conference on Mental Health (10-12, September 2025) Snomed International Conference (22-24, October 2025)

In terms of the tech sector, Antwerp is recognised as one of Europe’s emerging technology hubs and is set to host a series of events, including SuperNova, a showcase for breakthrough technology, AI, and future innovations, just held in March, as well as DDD Europe, a key software development conference, bringing together experts in domain-driven design, engineering, and tech leadership.
