The Belgian city of Antwerp is set to host the 2025 Sleep and Breathing Conference from 10-12 April 2025. This biennial event, jointly organised by the European Respiratory Society (ERS) and the European Sleep Research Society (ESRS), is the largest pan-European meeting dedicated to sleep and respiratory medicine.

The programme will feature keynote lectures, interactive workshops, and scientific exhibitions. Antwerp’s selection as the host city is a boost for its reputation as a premier destination for health and medical events.

“We are delighted to welcome the Sleep and Breathing Conference to Antwerp,” said Tadeja Pivc Coudyser, CEO of the Antwerp Convention Bureau. “Our city’s commitment to advancing healthcare and our state-of-the-art facilities make Antwerp the perfect venue for this significant gathering of sleep and respiratory professionals.”

“Antwerp is not only a city with a vibrant cultural and historical identity, but also a centre of excellence in medical research and clinical practice,” adds professor Johan Verbraecken, masterclass organiser and local host of the 2025 Sleep and Breathing Conference. “With institutions like the Antwerp University Hospital and the University of Antwerp driving innovation in sleep and respiratory care, the city offers a uniquely fertile ground for meaningful scientific exchange. This conference thrives on the strength of our local expertise and collaborative spirit, ensuring that the dialogue we spark here continues to advance global standards in sleep medicine.”

Antwerp Convention Bureau’s City is Your Venue marketing message continues to underline that the experience of a conference goes beyond the walls of traditional venues.
