Global travel and event management business ATPI has strengthened its management team in Australia, with the appointment of travel management expert Kathy Larkan (pictured) as head of commercial operations, Australia. Based in ATPI’s Australian head office in Melbourne, she will be responsible for delivering operational processes and maintaining customer service levels. Larkan has worked in the travel industry for 20 years in senior roles for a number of leading travel management companies. Most recently she was regional manager of sales and account management at QBT Travel. Larkan will work alongside Matt Grainger, head of commercial strategy, who will continue to lead the sales team. Lesley Owen has also been appointed as director of supplier relations, Asia-Pacific. Hers is a newly created role with responsibility for the strategic approach and delivery of air fares, accommodation, car hire and content optimal distribution across the region. Peter Muller, international board director and responsible for the day to day running of the Australian business, commented: “The development of the management team in Australia is part of our ongoing investment and commitment to growth and market leadership.
