The Kingdom of Bahrain, represented by Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB) and the Bahrain Dental Society (BDS), has won the bid to host the FDI World Dental Congress in 2028.
The successful bid will bring the global dental community to Bahrain for the flagship annual congress of the FDI World Dental Federation (FDI), which represents more than one million dentists worldwide.
HE Sara Ahmed Buhejji, CEO of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) and chairperson of Exhibition World Bahrain, stated: “This notable achievement reflects the strength of our partnerships and the Kingdom’s growing reputation as a destination for major international congresses. This prestigious event will bring together leading dental professionals, researchers, innovators, and industry experts from around the world, creating valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and professional development. We look forward to working closely with the Bahrain Dental Society and FDI to deliver a world-class Congress while showcasing Bahrain’s hospitality, connectivity, and capabilities as a leading destination for business events.”
Dr Abbas Al Fardan, president of the Bahrain Dental Society, commented: “It is a source of immense pride for us to see the Kingdom of Bahrain selected to host and organise the FDI World Dental Congress 2028,”

The Congress will also provide a platform for the local and international dental industry to engage through its exhibition and associated business and networking opportunities, while showcasing the latest developments shaping the future of oral healthcare.
