Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) is celebrating 20 years of events (which included the 2014 G20 Leaders Summit) with a colourful makeover. Having hosted over 17,000 events and 11m visitors, BCEC is launching a new image and GM Bob O’Keeffe said: “We see our 20th anniversary as a catalyst for change. We are taking this opportunity to look forward…raising the bar even further working with our clients and partners taking our event delivery to the next level with a strong strategic plan for growth and enhancement.” Ogilvy Brisbane worked with the venue on the new branding and its MD Russ Vine explained that the ‘Next Level’ campaign meant going beyond expectations to make events a success. “This might be ‘Next Level’ service, cuisine, lighting or staging, and it means next level innovation, harnessing technology or simply thinking outside of the box.” A new mobile friendly website by Entegy, is also part of the new package. “It will evolve with the centre as it delivers on its Next Level promise,” said Entegy director Graeme Caplen, who built the site.
