All things German are being celebrated this month at Oktoberfest Brisbane, Australia’s largest German Festival. The Brisbane Showgrounds has been the venue 5-7 October and a second weekend October 12-14 as the space transforms into a part of Bavaria. Schnitzels to pretzels and beer (of course) are back up by live entertainment including Bavarian Oompah band ‘Münchner Buam’, Heidi the Yodeller and Alpenrosen Dance Group. A KinderZone and Strongman competitions also run throughout the Festival.
