Alila, the brand under Commune Hotels and Resorts, will launch six new properties in 2016. It is set to expand its portfolio into two new countries, Cambodia and China, as well as a third property in Jakarta, Indonesia, and a property in India. Opening in the second quarter of next year, the new property in Jakarta will serve as a modern retreat for business travellers. Located in Jakarta’s financial district it has access to corporate offices, shopping and entertainment facilities. Guests can choose from 227 rooms and suites. The three properties set to launch in China will be located in the Zhejiang province. Alila Anji will feature 74 villas and suits. Alikla Yanshuo will have 118 rooms, suites and villas; and Alila Tianxi Lake will feature 68 suites and 13 villas. In Jaipur, India, Alila Fort Bishangarh will launch in the fourth quarter of 2016 and will have 59 suites. The Alila Villas Koh Russey resort, Cambodia will launch by the end of the year. The resort will feature one and two-bedroom villas. Commune Hotels and Resorts will have 15 new properties in Asia by 2018, with further expansion in China, India, Indonesia and its first resorts in west Malaysia, and east Malaysia.
