Chua Wee Phong (pictured) will become the new chief executive (Venues) at Constellar, in Singapore, as of 1 July. With a strong background in event organisation, Wee Phong’s appointment comes at a time when event activity in Singapore is off to a steady restart. Wee Phong started Sphere Exhibits Pte Ltd in 2008. At Singapore EXPO, Constellar’s award-winning managed MICE venue, confirmed venue bookings for the second half of 2022 are reported now at 60% of pre-Covid levels in 2019. “The pandemic has offered us an opportunity to transform our offerings, strengthen our digital infrastructure and create new ways to connect communities. As demand for live and hybrid events continues to grow, I am confident in our ability to drive the next level of customer excellence at Singapore EXPO while ensuring that innovation, sustainability and engagement remain at our core,” Chua Wee Phong said.
