Destinations International 2020 will be virtual

Destinations International, a resource for official destination organisations, convention and visitors bureaus (CVBs) and tourism boards, has announced that it’s 2020 Annual Convention will take place virtually.

President and CEO of Destinations International, Don Welsh, said: “The safety of our members is our number one priority. We made the decision to host the Annual Convention virtually due to the unprecedented challenges of Covid-19.”

The virtual convention will include over 20 educational sessions, industry roundtables, a virtual town hall, shirtsleeve sessions, networking opportunities including virtual happy hours and networking, a ‘marketplace of ideas’ with virtual exhibits, lead generation, resource downloads and 1:1 chats, and gamification opportunities.

Keynote speakers include: Mitch Albom, the author of Tuesdays with Morrie and Carey Lohrenz, the first female US Navy F-14 Tomcat fighter pilot.
