Cloud-based event planner Allseated is hosting a virtual event, 22 April, for European events industry professionals, describing the set up as ‘an unconference event’. The Forward together 2021 Europe will be the 2nd edition of the Allseated initiative, already tested in the US market in January. The event is powered by Allseated exVo and the list of participating organisations slated for this virtual world meet up includes IMEX, LOCATIONS Messe, German Convention Bureau, MEET Germany and industry associations ICCA, IACC, PCMA, BTA, AEO, HBAA and EVVC. Digital twins from venue partners Areal Böhler/Broich Catering, Trafo Baden and Kraftwerk by trendfactory can be explored via robot avatar at the event and Allseated says its design also provides for random encounters and emotional experiences. Allseated exVo’s Unconference areas are designed to reduce the usual emphasis on formal speeches and to make the event more about informal connections. Thought leaders will lead Open Space Sessions at Forward Together 2021 Europe, concentrating on exploring the hybrid events theme. Organisers say that, following the sessions, attendees are invited to enter smaller group discussions with these thought-leaders. Allseated exVo claims its platform merges live event elements and experiences with the immersive feeling of gaming technology.
