The sixth edition of Baltic MICE industry trade show Convene has attracted over 85 exhibitors and 165 hosted buyers to the Litexpo venue in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius.
The City Mayor welcomed delegates to a networking evening in the Town Hall in the heart of Vilnius Old Town, 14 February. The building hosts many events and festivals and is currently decked out in celebration of the country’s centenary year since foundation.
Day 2 of the trade show, 15 February, offers a continuation of the Education Programme, including: ‘Using Hybrid Events to Engage Live Audiences and Participants Across the World’ from Shocklogic MD John Martinez; ‘The Links Between the Meetings Industry and International Associations’ with Clara Fernandez Lopez of the Union of International Associations; ‘Is Your Business Ready for GDPR and E-Privacy Regulatory Changes? The Impact for the MICE Sector’, delivered by Caroline Mackenzie of Global Association Partners, and Ovation Global DMC’s Hugo Slimbrouck will be Making the Business Case for Incentive Travel as a Motivation Tool.

Jolanta Beniulienė, director of the Vilnius Convention Bureau, says: “Once again, CONVENE is giving us another opportunity to strengthen the region’s meeting industry and build on the success of our previous events. The Baltic Sea Region has a lot to offer meeting planners from around Europe and across the globe, and it’s great to see this exhibition have an impact in this regard. Moreover, the ratio of Hosted Buyers to Exhibitors at CONVENE 2018 is 2:1, which is the highest among all trade shows dedicated to our industry.”

Convene 2018 closes 15 February. If you’re attending the show, drop by and say Hello to our team on the CMW stand.
