Exclusive US MegaFam trip announces final location

The USA’s destination marketing organization, Brand USA, has announced the final location for its upcoming UK & Ireland MegaFam trip.

The MegaFam trip is a multi-destination familiarisation tour for travel agents from the UK and Ireland, and will take place from 9-17 May 2019. It’s final location will be Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona.

The tour is intended to showcase the diversity of American culture across seven wide-ranging itineraries. The seven trips will take place simultaneously, and will provide agents with a fresh perspective on the USA before all groups fly into Arizona for the finale event.

The agents will then share their individual experiences from across the United States, with the goal of educating all other agents and enabling them to better sell the visited destinations upon their return.

Thomas Garzilli, Chief Marketing Officer for Brand USA, said: “Each year the Brand USA MegaFam creates an unrivalled buzz among agents across the UK and Ireland, all vying for a place on an itinerary, demonstrating initiative, incredible sales skills and driving consumer demand for the United States.

“Once again, we are very excited to resume our successful partnership for a seventh consecutive year with our esteemed partners at American Airlines and British Airways, in creating the best possible experience for all agents in attendance, and developing another inspiring collection of itineraries.

Steve Moore, President & CEO of Visit Phoenix, said, “We are honoured to co-host the finale of Brand USA’s MegaFam in Phoenix. Our city has boundless opportunity for leisure visitors to relax, play and explore under our sunshine and blue skies.

“As we welcome 100 UK and Irish travel agents, we understand the lasting impression this three-day event could have, not only on these travel professionals, but also on their clients who are searching for their next vacation destination.”
