Five leading German business events brands have renewed their partnership with German Convention Bureau for 2025. The partners include darmstadtium, Marriott Frankfurt Airport Hotels – Marriott & Sheraton, Thuringia Convention Bureau and tourism agency Schleswig-Holstein. H World International will also continue its collaboration as a GCB premium partner.
All five partners also participated in the German Convention Bureau’s (GCB) 2024 programmes. The cooperation is about joint marketing, reaching out to international markets and general long-term strategy in Germany’s business events sector.
H World International Hotel group H World International, home to brands like Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts and IntercityHotel, continues to expand through its H Rewards platform. Senior director of sales Rob Oudshoorn said the GCB partnership supports trend forecasting and enhances Germany’s visibility in key markets such as North America.
Schleswig-Holstein The tourism agency Schleswig-Holstein will again promote its meetings offer through the GCB. The region markets itself as a sustainable, innovation-linked destination with strengths in sectors like renewables and the digital economy.
Thuringia The Convention Bureau Thuringia, newly established in recent years, sees the GCB as a key strategic partner for national visibility. The region combines central access with a strong research and technology base.
darmstadtium Congress centre darmstadtium continues its focus on sustainability and innovation. It holds EMASplus and DGNB certifications and offers cutting-edge IT infrastructure. Managing director Lars Wöhler credited the GCB for supporting long-term adaptability in the events sector.
Marriott Frankfurt Airport Hotels – Marriott & Sheraton The dual-branded hotel property will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2025. With over 1,000 rooms, 58 meeting spaces and direct airport access, it remains a major player in international business events. General manager Rick Enders said the GCB helps boost reach, sustainability goals and competitiveness.
The GCB will continue to support these partners through research, education and international promotion, strengthening Germany’s position in the global MICE market.
