Food & Hospitality Queensland 2024 attracted 5,199 industry professionals, buyers and chefs to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, Australia, between 4-5 August. More than 120 exhibitors attended, from leading brands and emerging companies. 70% rebooked onsite for the 2025 event. Visitors participated in:
- Keynote sessions from industry leaders
- Live cooking, with renowned chefs competing in the Queensland Chef of the Year competition
- Interactive workshops on current and future trends in food and hospitality
- Technology displays about sustainable solutions to meet the evolving needs of the industry
- A dedicated zone for ‘Speciality Producers’ to present their products and connect with potential partners
Next year’s event will be run by National Media, following the company’s acquisition of Food & Hospitality Queensland from Specialised Events at the end of 2024’s show. Portfolio director Mike Hill commented: “We are incredibly excited to take on the mantle of Food & Hospitality Queensland. We will build on the solid foundation established by Tim Collett and the Specialised Events team by evolving and expanding the event to meet the changing needs of the food and hospitality industry.” The new owners are planning updates for 2025, including a broader scope to include more diverse elements of the food and hospitality industry, expanded educational sessions, a larger exhibition floor, and increased opportunities for networking.
