The Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB) has announced several promotions in its teams. On the communications team, Robin Bloom (pictured) has been promoted to senior director of strategic communications. Robin will spearhead efforts to refine PHLCVB strategy by weaving a narrative through the organisation’s domestic and international endeavours. This elevation will involve leveraging the organisation’s new collaborations with agency partners, expanding reach in key international markets, and a renewed focus on advocacy. John Ryan steps up as the social media and content manager. His skills for creating engaging short-form videos and social content will now be augmented by his new responsibilities to strategise content needs and keep track of the department’s project calendar. Chelsea Ann Rovnan will now serve as social media content specialist, focusing on managing daily social media activities across all PHLCVB social media platforms. On the global tourism side, Melissa McClure has been promoted to senior global tourism sales manager. In her new role, she will drive the development of sales and marketing strategies across European source markets, now expanding her scope to cover 14 countries.
