gamescom asia announces digital miniseries

gamescom asia, an event for those within the South Asian gaming industry, has announced the launch of GameDev Talks, a digital miniseries with monthly episodes of webinars and information sessions on the gaming industry. GameDev Talks is scheduled to commence in January 2021. The series consists of two segments over a period of eight months titled Games Market Bootcamps and GameDev Talks. The sessions aims to help those within the B2B  “exchange knowledge, network, and forge new partnerships”. The Games Market Bootcamps The Games Market Bootcamps will begin in October 2020, and will consist of eight monthly three-hour episodes that will provide insights into game markets in the Asia Pacific region. Each episode will review a new games market, and discussing it with members of the respective local gaming ecosystems and revealing the latest statistics on key trends, gamer insights and future forecasts. The episodes will also have a live Q&A session with speakers and panellists. The Games Market Bootcamp will cover The Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and India. The first bootcamp on The Philippines will take place on 15 October 2020 from 3:00pm-5:30pm Singapore Time (GMT+8). To register for the event, click here. GameDev Talks Starting from January 2021, the GameDev Talks will be four monthly topical sessions hosting those from the international video game industry. The sessions will delve into game development, storytelling, audio visual, emerging technologies and interactive techniques, and more, and will include live Q&A sessions. The episodes will be free and will be made available to both trade audiences and gaming fans. The first episode of GameDev Talks is set to take place in January 2021 and will run parallel with the Games Market Bootcamps.
