Heavent Paris, Europe’s largest events trade show, concluded on 14 November at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Our correspondent Theo Reilly visited the show to find out what kind of content and trends were being explored.

The programme of sessions took on a wide range of industry topics. Some of the standout discussions included a breakdown of whether France was following in the footsteps of the wider international MICE market – featuring as speaker Meeting Professionals International chairman Véronique Holveck – and an overview of AI’s application in events.

In another session, speakers such as ONYO co-founder Charlotte-Amélie Veaux, scenographer Bruno Graziani and set designer of g!theimagineers Vincent Rautureau tackled the subject of scenography, and how to create captivating environments.

There was also a discussion about how influencer events ‘serve the brand’, an analysis of how music can be used strategically for maximum impact, and, as you might expect, a session about the 2024 Paris Olympics, featuring a behind-the-scenes look at the event’s management.

On the show floor itself, organisers managed to pack every corner with installations and gizmos, from giant inflated turtles and blimps to karaoke spots and a live DJ. Heavent Paris 2024 has certainly done its best to warrant the moniker ‘INCONTOURNABLE’ (French for ‘unmissable’).
