hubli, an online booking tool for meetings and group stays, has launched Venue Connect at the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) European convention in Hamburg, Germany. The new product is an API that allows venues to distribute their meeting spaces and group lodging to a rapidly growing network of corporate clients and travel management companies (TMCs). According to hubli, the product will allow venues to connect directly to their in-house PMS systems to selectively distribute live availability and increase automation when responding to higher-value requests for proposals (RFPs). According to the GBTA, 58% of business travel trips are for meetings, as corporations focus on smaller in-person gatherings to build culture, collaboration and sales. According to hubli, the company has seen a 3x growth in corporate clients in 2023 including their first Fortune 10 client. “We are excited to launch Venue Connect to help our venues reduce time and effort handling bookings while making it even faster for our TMC and corporate clients to find the spaces they need,” comments hubli CEO, Ciaran Delaney. “It has been extremely well received by our hotel and venue network, our team are already building connections into several global hotel chains”
